* 2010 will be the fifth edition of the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta.

* Event dates: 9th/14th August at Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy, the venue for the 2012 Olympics

* The inaugural Sail for Gold Regatta was held in October 2006. 264 boats and 22 nations competed in 13 classes

* The 2010 event expects to host over 750 sailors from 40 countries

* Final installment of the ISAF World Cup Event- Team GB are currently topping the rankings on this
